Untapped

Tap… “to open or gain access to”.  In the Old Testament all of the powerful men and women of God had “the Spirit come upon them” when they did miraculous things.  No where in the New Testament do you find that phrase used.  When Jesus died on the cross and rose again one thing radically changed from that time on.  When you accept Jesus into your life as a “born-again” believer Jesus takes up residence in you.  You become His temple, His dwelling place.  No longer will the “Spirit come upon you” because He dwells in you.  Jesus is with you to the very end of time.

It is the One thing that none of those people in the Old Testament had available to them.  They would’ve given anything and everything to have the Spirit in them ALWAYS.  That is the untapped resource made available to us His children.  ALL power and authority of heaven dwells in us every day!

Luke 10:19 “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

Because Jesus lives and dwells in us we in turn dwell in Him.  John 14:11-14 11”Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves. 12 Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. 13 And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.”

This passage is chucked full of revelation!  Understand that since Jesus dwells in the Father and the Father dwells in Him and Jesus also dwells in us and we in Him then ALL the resources of heaven are made available to us! 

The very character and attributes of Father God, Jesus His Son and the Holy Spirit, (known as the trinity), dwells in you and since you dwell in Him then those character traits, attributes the very nature of God is now part of you!

God is love.  1 Corinthians 13:3-8 4”Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails.” God NEVER fails!

Power, authority and LOVE are made available to you His child.  It is who you are in Christ and who Christ is in you.  It is time to “TAP” into what Father God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit have already made available IN you!!  “They will do even greater things than these.”
