If He Had Not Moved For Me, I Would Be Discouraged

There are many times that I could have been discouraged; there were many times when I did find myself in a state of discouragement, but that was a while back in my life, when I still believed in God, but I thought I had to do everything for myself. It is true that we need to work, and cook dinner for ourselves, and live our lives in a normal ordinary manner, but what do you do when you have done everything you know how to do and the answer eludes you, when you spend your last dollar, you pulled out your last favor, you have no one else in your life who will help you but God, what do you do next?



That is when you learn to lean and trust in the Lord, and watch Him do what you could not do for yourself. I am in a state of transition, where things should be moving someplace, but haven't yet, and where I came from is a bit uncomfortable, but bearable. It's the place where you see other people in your lives accomplishing things, and you wish you were doing the same as well, you know that place where everyone is wondering about you, and you feel a little awkward about addressing the issue, because you can only tell them, "The Lord will move for me, I know He will because He has in the past". If you know what I mean, then you know the place where I am right now!



God will lead you to the place where you need to be, it just doesn't seem to fit where you want to be right now. He is capable of bringing you out of all sorts of strange places and sticky situations. Learning to lean on Him is a learning process, at least it was for me. I spent most of my life realizing that I could only depend on myself, I was always grateful for the help I received from time to time, but I survived my childhood and my growing pains by "making do" with what I had. That is "making do" emotionally, financially, and spiritually.

I used to be afraid of God and of dying until I opened my heart to Him, and He showed me His love, and then I knew that everything was going to be allright, no matter what happens to me, if I live today and leave this plane of existence tomorrow, I know He loves me and will never leave me or forsake me. I used to feel like I had no emotional support, but I learned to love others with the love of the Lord, and His love now occupies my heart, and so I no longer feel lonely or deprived. I was always struggling financially, and I am still catching up in that area of my life, but I have found peace and joy in Him, and I find that even though I have to pinch my pennies hard, I am happy! He makes me happy.....that my friends is my personal everyday miracle.

Why am I not worried about what is going to happen tomorrow? Because He has moved for me in the past, and so I am not discouraged!
