Light of the World

Matthew 5:14-16 14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

There was this vision during church service. It was a heavenly view looking down on earth. The area was the size of a small town. It looked like a large body of dark, dirty green murky water. Hanging down from Heaven was hundreds of these clear globes with a single Christian standing inside each one. The globe completely surrounded them and was tethered to the top of each globe with a thin line.

Each one had been lowered down to a specific area, submerged into the dark green dirty murky water. There was this brilliant light emanating from each one. The affect of that light was that the water or atmosphere around it was starting to change. It was getting clearer and cleaner. The light of “Truth” was washing away the lies, compromise and deception of the evil one that had muddied the waters.

The thin line that was tethered to each globe was a heavenly supply line of strength, courage and Holy Spirit boldness activated by obedience from the Christian in the globe. Though the supply line was thin it was UNBREAKABLE because it is made of the strongest thing in the universe… God’s love! Romans 838-39 38“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

The globe was the Holy Spirit that provided protection, divine health, counsel, guidance and all of their needs. The light was coming from the Christian inside or more accurately from Jesus inside each of us. It is what we as children of the Most High God are to do, shine forth God’s light, His Son, to the world.

I noticed some of the globes were starting to flicker and their light was not as bright as it was. The flickering grabbed Heavens’ attention as all eyes turned on those globes. I saw one go out and become dark and I heard heaven cry. I suddenly felt great sorrow and loss for that one dark globe as the area around it grew dark, dirty and murky once again.

Attacks of the evil one can cause a globe to go dark. If the Christian inside falls or stumbles repeatedly into sin and starts to believe the lies and deception of the Devil then the supply line starts to dry up. Taking attention of the believer off of God with old sins of the past, sickness and disease, un-forgiveness and addictions to name a few. This causes the light to flicker. If the Christian back-slides into sin then lies of no hope and no future runs rampant through their thoughts. This causes the light to go out.

But God is good and faithful! All is not lost for God is our mighty rescuer and savior. He can put you back onto His path and help you get your light shining bright again! I saw a globe that had gone out suddenly glow brightly and Heaven started rejoicing!  

Isaiah 43:1-3 “1But now, this is what the Lord says—he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. 2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. 3 For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.” AMEN!
