GOD SENDS HIS DOVE

by Lewis E. Thomas
10/02/2019 / Poetry

God Sends His Dove

She was known as Susie, this lonely battered child.
Her mommy and daddy were wicked and vile.

More than anything this little girl needed a friend.
Her mommy and daddy were living in sin!

They used alcohol and drugs that altered their mood.
Sometimes little Susie would go for days without food.

They often yelled "Your bad!" and locked Susie away.
In that dark closet for days little Susie would stay!

Scared, little Susie would cry until there were no more tears.
Alone in the darkness little Susie had many fears!

Little Susie was a child who desperately needed love!
One night in the darkness, in flew a Dove.

How it got in little Susie could not tell.
Her mom and dad had sealed the room well.

It was a strange Dove glowing so brilliantly white!
The darkness was dissolved by its Heavenly Light!

When they locked Susie away it would always appear!
To brighten that room and bring Susie good cheer!

Under the door one night her folks saw the Light!
Heard the flutter of wings, they trembled with fright!

They mustered up the courage to open the door!
There was only Susie, twas as dark as before!

The room had no lights "How could this be?"
"What made the Light that helped Susie to see?"

Susie told her frightened folks about her Heavenly Dove.
"God sent it to let me know that I am loved!"

Little Susie passed away a little later that night!
Now, her folks keep that closet door bolted real tight!

They say sometimes they hear the soft flutter of wings!
And the voice of Susie as she sweetly sings!

They say a Light appears at night under that door!
But, Susie is with God "now" up there on that Heavenly shore!

*** This poem in loving memory of Bella Neveah Amoroso Bond! May we never forget you! ***

*** God needed a little angel like Bella to give Him hugs and kisses! ***

Who was little Bella Bond?

Bella Bond was a little girl who was punched in the stomach by her mother's boyfriend until she died, her mother has told investigators, claiming the man thought the two-year-old was 'possessed by demons'.

A source told Fox 25 that the Bond mother had gone into her daughter's room and reportedly saw McCarthy punching Bella because he believed she was possessed. After Bella died the boyfriend kept her little body in a refrigerator for around a month until disposing of it.

After nearly three months, the washed up toddler who was found dead on the Boston Harbor beach and known simply as Baby Doe was identified on Friday as Bella Neveah Amoroso Bond.

Bella was just shy of three years old when her body was found on Deer Island in Winthrop by a woman walking a dog on June 25, 2015
