It is a troubled world we are living in,

Where no one blushes or tries to hide their sin.

They publish their evil; they’re hateful and proud,

Calling the holy profane, oh yeah, they’re mighty loud.

People say, “God made me this way. It’s how I was born.”

Not contrite or humble; for their sin they do not mourn.

They blame their actions on their childhood or the way they were raised,

But they’ll stand alone before God’s throne, come the judgment day.

See the smooth talking preacher, proclaiming he’s free and gay.

He says, "It's not a sin, I just swing a different way.”

But he’s a blind man, leading the blind astray,

Lost, without God, and headed toward his grave,

People don’t respect their parents or any authority,

They lie, extort and hate in the name of liberty.

But on that Day, you can’t hide behind a person or a flag,

Because in God’s sight, our righteousness is but filthy rags.

So many say they’re a Christian yet they don’t believe,

Jesus is the Son of God and only He can set you free.

Judgment day is coming; we all owe a debt we cannot pay,

We must accept Jesus as Savior and Lord, for He is the only way.

People say God has changed and nothing is the same,

But God is still on His throne and righteous is His Name.

The wages of our sin is death, a debt that must be paid,

We must answer to God alone come the judgment day.
