How to Please God - Part 2

In part 1, we determined that the first step to pleasing God is believing in Jesus as our Savior and LORD. We can never please God with anything else we do, until we become born again by agreeing with what Jesus did for us on the cross (John 3:15-17; Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23; Romans 10:13).

So if you haven't yet asked Jesus to be your Savior and LORD, you can ask Him right now! Just ask Him out loud to forgive you of your sin. Then say you renounce your sins, satan, and all evil speaking, and ask the LORD Jesus to come into your heart and be your Savior, LORD, and best Friend forever!

At that moment, you will become born again into the Royal Family of God! Your spirit will be regenerated--snatched from the devil and hell, and translated into the glorious victorious Kingdom of Light!

You will please God forever because of your new spiritual status as the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus!

Once you are born again through your faith in the shed blood of Christ Jesus, the unique and only Son of God, you can start earning rewards by pleasing Him with your good behavior. This is very much like obeying your parents and earning special blessings or an allowance or something--but you have to be born into their family first, because you have to be their children that they love and care for and give you chances to earn rewards.

The more you get to know Jesus, the more you will love Him, for He will become your very best friend. As you do things like pray, read His Word, and worship Him, you will want to do them because you love Him, not just to earn blessings!

He will show you ways to earn blessings and love others so they can know Him too.

What ways can you think of to bless those you know? Helping others with a good heart and attitude brings glory to Father God.
