VISIONS OF THE KING - Jesus is the Sword of the Word

¹⁷ Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.--Ephesians 6:17, NIV

Years ago, I had this vision (some would call it a dream): I am standing in a field, with nothing and no one close around me. I have a Bible and it’s open and I’m reading from it. My right pointer finger is tracing the lines of Scripture as I say them out loud.

Suddenly, the hand of Jesus—the Living Word!—reaches up out of the pages and grabs mine!

I am delighted! I keep pulling, and Jesus Himself rises up out of the Holy Book,
manifesting until He stands beside me! He is smiling, and so am I.

“Teach me, Jesus!” I say.

And He does!

His Word is alive!
