Awake from Your Slumber for the Day Is Near

Fear

The “spirit of fear” has been unleashed in the world. This is evident to most who are paying attention. We've been told to shelter in place, but what we really need to do is shelter under HIS wings. Psalm 91:1-6: “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust. Surely, he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.”

Deception

There are deceitful workers throughout the world system and within the worldly church and its house cleaning time, says the Lord. Witchcraft, rebellion, corruption and evil of gross proportions. Gross darkness has fallen upon the earth and grosser upon the people, but those who abide in me will be safe. For the night of evil is almost over and the day of the Lord is coming soon. No one knows the exact day, not even the angels, but the day of the Lord will come suddenly. It will come at a time you do not expect, like a thief. (Revelation 16:15) So be alert, be vigilant and be filled with the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit

Remember the two sets of virgins? They were both waiting for the groom; but only one had oil and one did not. (Matthew 25:1-3) For those who have ears, hear. And for those with open eyes, see.  You must be filled with my Holy Spirit. Do not allow yourself to be bewitched or deceived that you should not obey the truth. The world is asleep, and the worldly church is asleep.

And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So, let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.” (Romans 13:11.)

Cleansing

I am coming for a spotless bride without blemish so I must cleanse her (the body of Christ) and many of you have felt and will feel like you are being wrung out and strung out like a saturated towel. You might be cleansing your hands, but I am cleansing your hearts.

Love

Love your neighbor as yourself. Love is the fulfillment of the law. You are understanding love now with sacrifice and compassion. Brother looking out for brother, sister looking out for sister. They will know you by your love, but there are many that are not looking out for your best interest; The anti-Christ spirit is now here and prevalent and it will only get worse. We battle not with flesh and blood, but with principalities and darkness in wicked places. (Ephesians 6:12)

REM

It’s the end of the world as we know it, to quote the musical group REM.(Side note: read the song’s lyrics in their entirety because it appears to me to be looking into a future where events are eerily similar to what we are experiencing right now.) The song was written in 1987.

My Family

For this reason, I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” (Ephesians 3:14-19)

This is not a time to be self-willed or stubborn but a time to rely on my Spirit. This is not a time for self-pity or fear but love and a sound mind. Wake up! Wake up! Wake up! Be teachable be trainable and work out your salvation with reverential fear and trembling.

The Need for Self-Discipline

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore, I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air.  No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.” (1 Corinthians 9:24-27)

Train vigorously—prepare as an Olympic athlete with prayer, Bible study, worship and discipline of the flesh. Put your body under subjection to your spirit. Be led of the Spirit and abide in me because apart from me you can do nothing. (John 15:5)

Live by the Spirit

You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself. If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.

So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.” (Galatians 5:13-22)

Concerning Spiritual Gifts

“Now about the gifts of the Spirit, brothers and sisters, I do not want you to be uninformed. You know that when you were pagans, somehow or other you were influenced and led astray to mute idols. Therefore, I want you to know that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus be cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.

There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.

Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit,  to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.” (1 Corinthians 12:1-11)

Make Haste

Make haste for this is a new beginning for the church and the world. Awake from your slumber! Make haste and awake!

“A new work I will do. This is what the Lord says he who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters, who drew out the chariots and horses, the army and reinforcements together, and they lay there, never to rise again, extinguished, snuffed out like a wick: “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” (Isaiah 43: 16-19)
