O My people!

Those who lead you stray

Confuse the direction of your way

I AM

Not a god who will lie and confuse

I guide with Holy Love and freeing Truth

~~~

Such mental pain, oh house of Israel

How you turned so long ago

What did you seek in the morning to bring you peace?

Your Lord, or the desire for strong drink?

All day and deep into the night

Inflamed with regret, wine sours a hope filled heart

Knowing the next morning again it starts

Night and day, night after night

Banquets filled with music and wine

Friends immersed in lie after lie

No longer seeing the work of the Lord

Such distress to you who knew and purposely ignored

Wretchedness fills the soul of you who lack dignity and honor

Dragging thoughts of worthlessness

Cords hooked to damaged hearts

Pulling in rutted ground, sin filled carts

You scoffed at the King of Kings

Insisting a response to the authority you believed was yours

You mocked the Lord, demanding to see, to know

Demonstrating how you were in control

You explained that it is right to lie

If a lie would fulfill the desire of your mind

It's your "choice" to kill your unborn child

You thought, this isn't evil it is good, to decide what you would

And refused what God says you should

The one you follow came as an angel of light

How cleaver that his light didn't expose the lie

The weight of bitterness is fine, after being hurt time after time

You welcomed the sweetness of revenge

The world says to get even is your right

Your angel able to dim heavens light

Distress still came to you who were wise in your own eyes

No consideration for the Creator

Conceit is a word you didn't use

You were so clever, who could accuse?

Thinking your brain evolved high above all

After eons you believed to control man's rise and fall

You waited and watched, in dignity and honor

Yet vulgar and vile

Parading your look of pride like a spoiled child

Often immersed in sorrow, you didn't recognize the source

So you toast to each other every glass of wine

You plunged into a fog that set your course

Gallantly proclaiming you would save the world

You paid the wicked to do what you wanted to be right

The result, the righteous were taken by the night

For this reason

As a tongue of fire consumes

And dry grass collapses into flame

Your root will rot and turn to dust

For you rejected the Lord of Hosts

So saturated with self, others always you blamed

Words put down so long ago and yet hearts still the same

The wicked share their misery

Generations never seem to change

Stretching out Your hand Lord

Against the evil that is done

Your hand is still stretched out

Until Your time to come

Then heavenly fire will devour the followers of the evil one

No more death

No more pain

All thrown into the pit

There to stay

Forever and Forever

Amen
