WHEN LOGIC ISN'T SO LOGICAL

by linzy bruno
5/20/2021 / Christian Living

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths." (Proverbs 3:5-6)

DON'T LET YOUR HUMAN LOGIC KEEP YOU FROM RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD; WE MUST COME TO HIM ON HIS TERMS and, at our own pace, embrace godly logic and learn to apply it to our lives.

***Most athiests are driven by intelligence and superior logic, and are generally highly intelligent. But this 'intelligence' is often the main stumbling they have in coming humbly to the Throne.

The Bible tells us to renew our minds in Christ, because we so easily forget the spiritual. The things of the spirit are not at all in our faces, unlike our natural surroundings and the physical world, which demand our constant attention and provoke our natural human logic and stimulate only that which we can control. This, our consistent, physical reality, when it comes to seeking God, gets in the way far more than it helps us. It takes time, but with patience with ourselves and a determination to overcome our natural propensities, we can re-train ourselves to think more like God thinks and develop a sort of godly logic.

"Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!" (Romans 11:33)

"Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen." (Ephesians 3:20-21)

"And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." (Romans 12:2)

...............................................................................................................

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths." (Proverbs 3:5-6)

"So teach us to number our days, That we may gain a heart of wisdom."
Psalm 90:12

"It is better to trust in the Lord Than to put confidence in man."
Psalm 118:8

"He who is slow to wrath has great understanding, But he who is impulsive exalts folly."
Proverbs 14:29

"The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom, And before honor is humility."
Proverbs 15:33

"A fool has no delight in understanding, But in expressing his own heart."
Proverbs 18:2

"When pride comes, then comes shame; But with the humble is wisdom."
Proverbs 11:2

These godly principles recorded in Psalms and Proverbs are utterly contrary to human logic and highlight what is foolish and how to recognize fools and foolishness and rebuke those things that go against Him and reveal our natural human propensity to rebel.
