The Truth

“You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”John 8:32

Some years ago a prophecy was given to me about a veil being over me spiritually. I did not understand as I had asked Jesus into my life and accepted His salvation for my sins by His death on the cross.

For years I suffered depression. I sought release for many years. I was healed or delivered from many things in my life.

The one thing I want to write about here was the deliverance from my idea of truth. What we believe in about our faith is not always truth.

Knowing the Truth who is Jesus, and seeking from Him leads us into truth. The bible clearly states we should have no other gods but only Him. Deuteronomy 5:7. But we can be blinded to think other religions are of God (when they are of the evil one!) Also sometimes we make God what we want Him to be. So we make our own god rather than worshiping the One True God. We are called to take up our cross and follow Jesus, not ourselves or our pastor or some way out teaching. 

Don’t believe every spirit or even those who claim to be Christian or religious.We are called to lay down our lives, our own ideas and desires and seek His truth alone.

Oppression and depression can be caused by spiritual forces working because we believe and live a lie when Jesus wants us to walk in the light of His truth. The Light will show the things of darkness and deceit for what they really are.

John 8:12 says Jesus is the light of the world. Matthew 10:38 says He who does not take up his cross and follow Jesus is not worthy of Him. 

Let us lay down our own images we have made of God and truly seek His Face and His Truth today. Don’t follow religion or even what we make ourselves! Follow God’s Son
