Psalm 138:8
The Lord will fulfil his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord, endures for ever. Do not forsake the work of your hands.

God-tracking has as its central premise, seeking and tracking the purposes of God. The scriptures make it plain that God has a plan for each of our lives; a plan for our shalom, that is, our welfare, harmony, wholeness, completeness, prosperity and peace. We also read in the Bible that his eyes saw us in the womb and he scribed every one of our days before we were born. Our God is all-knowing and all-powerful and his purposes endure.

Every new day, every new year is found in his book of your life. He knows the plans he has for you. You are God’s masterpiece – his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that you should walk in them. He will fulfil his purposes for you and e won’t forsake the work of his hands.

However, our God is a gentleman. He never forces his will on any man. We see evidence of this right in the beginning in Eden when he gave Adam and Eve the free will to choose to follow or reject his will. Sadly, they rejected God’s plans and fell from his holiness. Today, the Lord wants you to set your heart on doing his will and following the plans, he knows he has for you. Acknowledge the Lord in all your ways – all your ways – and trust him to work out his purposes in your life. Do this and the Lord will fulfil his plans for you.

“Dear God, I am so grateful that you have a plan for my life. Thank you that your will and purposes endure forever and your plan is to turn my life into a masterpiece for your glory. I acknowledge you in every aspect of my life – my relationships, finances, my work and my play – and I trust you to work out the plans you know you have for me. Forgive me for ever taking my eyes off Jesus and looking at my circumstances rather than fixing my heart on your eternal knowledge of my life. Today I surrender to your will and seek to track your purposes, always. Amen.”
