Jesus Was Rejected, So We Would Be Accepted!

by Tonja Taylor
4/04/2022 / Christian Living

But God shows and clearly proves His [own] love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for us.--Romans 5:8, AMPC

Hallelujah! When we are covered by the Blood of the Lamb through our faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and LORD, we are accepted by God--The Master and Creator and King of the universe!

On the cross, Jesus was despised and rejected--so we would be totally accepted by God!

He was despised and rejected and forsaken by men, a Man of sorrows and pains, and acquainted with grief and sickness; and like One from Whom men hide their faces He was despised, and we did not appreciate His worth or have any esteem for Him.--Isaiah 53:3, AMPC

Rejection is a big tool of the enemy. Our soul (mind, will, and emotions) really likes to be accepted by other people. However, our spirit is constantly pulling us upward, to seek to rest and rejoice in the total acceptance of God for us (meaning, the Blood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ the Son of God,  cleanses us from all sin and covers us and makes us acceptable to the holy Father God)--which often goes against the "acceptance" of other people for us. In fact, when we seek to please only God, that can create friction between us and others.

However, we stay in peace and know the LORD is the One Who makes all grace abound toward us, and that, when our ways please us, He causes us to have amazing favor!

The bottom line is that, when we fear (revere and respect and worship and obey) the LORD, not everyone is going to like it. However, one thing that has helped me make decisions that seemed hard--because of circumstances that could be potentially difficult finanically, emotionally, socially, or all of that--is that, when I stand before the LORD, it will be me and Jesus; not my husband nor my supervisor nor my other family members nor friends, etc.

I have been rejected many times by those closest to me, when I've followed God. But I've never regretted following God. It is always worth it!

At the same time, God has a wonderful way of making others favor us, especially when we obey Him.  He puts His Grace on things, as only He can do!

He is so good, and faithful forever!

Jesus' blood paid for all the wrongs (including our wrong words and thoughts!) we would ever do, so that we would be covered by His sacrifice, and totally accepted by our loving, living God--the LORD of Heaven and earth!

The LORD--Who created every person, every color and race and nation--and made us all one blood, is no respecter of persons. He does respect faith; belief in and respect for Him. He is so worthy!

But in every nation he who venerates and has a reverential fear for God, treating Him with worshipful obedience and living uprightly, is  acceptable to Him and sure of being received and welcomed [by Him].--Acts 10:35, AMPC

How great is our God! Hallelujah!
