JESUS Our Loving Liaison

by Tonja Taylor
8/20/2022 / Christian Living

So we are Christ’s ambassadors, God making His appeal as it were through us. We [as Christ’s personal representatives] beg you for His sake to lay hold of the divine favor [now offered you] and be reconciled to God.--2 Cor. 5:20, AMPC

Inasmuch then as we have a great High Priest Who has [already] ascended and passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession [of faith in Him].—Hebrews 4:14, AMPC

Jesus is our loving Liaison-the Reconnector; Rebuilder; Reconciler; Restorer of broken relationships--between mankind and God, and between people! Hallelujah!

YourDictionary.com has three definitions of "liaison":

"...someone who links people," like an ambassador; "a person who functions as a connection or go-between, as between persons or groups"; and, "..linking up or connecting of two or more separate entities or of the parts, as military units, of a whole so that they can work together effectively."

While I used to do wayyyy too much confrontation and otherwise "managing" of various happenings in relationships through the years, I have learned that Jesus does it so much better.

There is, of course, a time to confront a person or group, as the Bible tells us, and those times should definitely be handled first with prayer and the wisdom and words of the Holy Ghost, Who knows all people and their hearts, and is the only true Judge.

However, I have found that, most of the time now, when I'm having an issue with someone or something, I can very often talk to the LORD about it and ask Him to speak to someone's heart, and He does and will. When He handles things, they are so much better and smoother! Hallelujah!

When we walk in Love according to I Corinthians 13:4-8, things will usually go smoother. God is Love (I John 4:8), so when we ask Him to work on our behalf, and act and speak through us, He does. He is so good and faithful!

This is yet another part of truly trusting the LORD with ALL our hearts, as He says in Proverbs 3:5-6. It is a rest!

Ask Him now to help you start trusting Him more in your relationships with others, and watch and thank Him as they start to smooth out!
