You Will Have More

To God be the glory for He has made all things available to mankind before he was created in the garden of Eden. Do you know that there is nothing you have need of that is not available? You may only be ignorant of it or where you can get it or how to get it.

Do you know what? The Creator has an all embracing and all encompassing Manual from which every discerning soul can benefit maximally. This Manual is the Holy Bible.

It is sad to note that this valuable book is the most attacked and condemned. However, to every serious mind, it is a book that no one can successfully destroy. Those who hated it at one time or another ended reading and loving it.

In this life transforming book, there's a story of a son of a rich man, the younger of two sons of the same father. He demanded his own portion of his father's wealth. Without any objection, his father obliged. He gave him "his portion" of the possessions. The son was happy and after a few days, he departed from his father's house to live an "independent life" free from any form of fatherly instructions, control and safety.

Soon, he wasted all his portion of his father's possessions and he became poor, lacking everything without any help coming from anyone.

To God be the glory that he came to himself and turned on a new leaf in his father's house forever. He finally submitted to his father's authority, leadership and cover for the rest of his journey in life.

Now, let me call your attention to one truth about this story you may have heard or read many times. Did his father give him ALL HIS PORTION OF THE FATHER'S POSSESSIONS? The answer is a surprising"No!"

How do we know this?
Okay! The Father knew what will become of the son; so, he gave him only a part of his portion of possessions he requested.

For instance, when he was given his portion, was it on record that he was given any glorious clothes? Did he even know that he is entitled to any special garments? He didn't know that his father has one in store for him.

Not only that, was he given any ring that denotes authority? Was he aware that there was a ring belonging to him? If he had known, he would have protested to receive same.

In addition to that, on his arrival, he was given a pair of shoes which was not part of his initial portion. Did he know there's any special shoes in store for him? I doubt much. There was no record to show that he demonstrated against his father's failure to give him any.

Moreover, no fatted calf was prepared on his departure but his return heralded celebrations which form part of his portion which he did not know. The older brother didn't know that if he desired such he would be given by the father. He was contented with what he was given which he squandered in a foreign land.( Details are in Luke Chapter 15:11-27)

My beloved reader, what have you received from God that you think that is your all portion with Him? You have more if you submit to His authority and control. He has more in store for you if you do not become arrogant because of the little He has released or is about to release to you. Do not run away from His cover. If it became evil for the son in the story before he repented, you cannot escape same punishment.

Therefore, you have more with God if you remain with Him. These words of the Psamist will encourage you:
The" Oh, how great is Your goodness,
Which You have laid up for those who fear You,
Which You have prepared for those who trust in You
In the presence of the sons of men!
You shall hide them in the secret place
From the plots of man;
You shall keep them secretly in a pavilion
From the strife of tongues" Psalms 31:19

Therefore, whatever you are given from the Lord is far below what He has in store for you. Abide in Him and fear Him. Stay blessed and prepared for the imminent coming of the Lord.

WORD OF SALVATION
The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into His hand.
He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on Him." John 3:35-36.
Say, "Lord, I believe in you, save me today and forever,in Jesus name."
