Right or Left

Think back, way back…

What were some of the earliest things that you learned how to do?

Well, some were so early that you can’t remember. You learned how to roll over, hold your head erect, grasp objects and then how to sit up. Soon, you pulled yourself to a standing position and leaned against your crib or furniture.

You learned your first words and to the excitement of parents took your first steps.

Many of us remember some things taught to us as we prepared to start school. We learned how to write our names, to recite the alphabet, count to ten and the difference between our left and right hands.

“And working together with Him, we also urge you not to receive the grace of God in vain— for He says,

‘At a favorable time I listened to you,
And on a day of salvation I helped you.’

Behold, now is ‘a favorable time,’ behold, now is ‘a day of salvation’—  giving no reason for taking offense in anything, so that the ministry will not be discredited, but in everything commending ourselves as servants of God, in much endurance, in afflictions, in hardships, in difficulties, in beatings, in imprisonments, in mob attacks, in labors, in sleeplessness, in hunger, in purity, in knowledge, in patience, in kindness, in the Holy Spirit, in genuine love, in the word of truth, and in the power of God; by the weapons of righteousness for the right hand and the left (2 Corinthians 6:1-7 NASB).”

Are you right or left handed?

Both are fine.

Grasp the sword of the Spirit!

“And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God (Ephesians 6:17 NASB).”
