His Will is Perfect

Do you remember Lawrence Welk and Orchestra’s version of Baby Elephant Walk?

Written by Henry Mancini, Welk’s 1962 record reached # 48 in Billboards US summer Hot 100. In addition, it went all the way to #10 on the Easy Listening chart. (*Wikipedia) I have memories of bubbles; Lawrence Welk’s accent, his smile and words of praise.

‘Wonderful! Wonderful!’

God’s ways are beyond wonderful; I’d call them marvelous.

“But as for me, I would seek God,
And to God I would commit my cause—
Who does great things, and unsearchable,
Marvelous things without number (Job 5:8-9 NKJV).”

Lest we forget…His ways are not our ways.

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,’ says the Lord.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts.

‘For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven,
And do not return there,
But water the earth,
And make it bring forth and bud,
That it may give seed to the sower
And bread to the eater,
So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;
It shall not return to Me void,
But it shall accomplish what I please,
And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it (Isaiah 55:8-11 NKJV).”  

The LORD’S ways are marvelous; His will is perfect.

“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2 NKJV).”
