Giving up my job for Him

I... I have a family to support. A family that I love and care for. A family that I cannot abandon. Two beautiful children.

Forgive me, Lord.

I tried not to look at his face. It was easier that way. He was a fat man. Fat... and ugly.

I did not love the dreamy look he had on his face as he looked at me. I could already feel him... in me.

Just by the way he looked at my body.

The young lady, I will always remember her. She came specially here.

She came to befriend us. No one cares.

But she does.

And she told us about Him. About Jesus.

And I can see Him when I look at her.

He ordered me to strip. To strip, slowly but surely.

His eyes feasted on my beautiful naked body.

Salivia dripped out of his mouth.

Disgusting.

"Jesus loves you and forgives you," the young lady said.

Jesus. A holy man.

He befriended sinners.

Like what she does when she becomes my friend.

He went in, and he went out.

In and out. In and out.

My body fulfilled his lust.

His money provided my need.

A mere business transaction between us.

"I accept Jesus into my life."

The young lady smiled. And then she gave me a hug.

Tears flowed down her beautiful eyes.

"Welcome home, sister."

His eyes blinked in surprise.

"What are you doing!" He demanded.

"Dressing myself," I replied.

"I haven't finish with you!" He protested.

"But I am done with you!" I replied. I threw his money back at him.

My children look at me.

"Mama..." my eldest son begins.

"We are moving out. The rent here is too expensive." My heart is torn with pain.

"Where?" My 2nd daughter asks.

"Somewhere," I cannot bear to look at my children's eyes.

We may be homeless, but it is Jesus we serve now.
