Restitution, A Practical Case Study (1)

Restoring things to the rightful owner may be the way out of a Saint's troubles. Praises, prayers, fastings, keeping vigil, etc may not be an effective alternative as much as these are profitable things to do.

This was the case with a sister, an hospital maid or attendant, who was poverty striken for a long time although she was a faithful child of God but her finances suffered serious setbacks.

One day, she took her case to the Lord her God for settlement. She observed a three-day fasting. On the third day, the Lord revealed the way out. What was it?

She saw in her dream how she stole money from the bag of a five year old boy who was sent on an errand by her mother in the village, more than several years ago.

The money was too small that by the time she had the dream, the amount almost amount to nothing in value. The instructions given her in the dream was to return the same amount of money to the boy who will pray for her

There were many questions begging for answers:
Where can she find the boy?
How can she go about doing this?
What will she say to him when they eventually meet? These and many more questions ravaged her minds.

As the Lord would help her, she went to the village to see if there could be someone to give a clue on how to locate the boy. On getting there, she was able to meet the father alive who gave her the particulars of the "boy".

Do you know what? The boy was the Medical Director of the hospital where she was a ward attendant.

She acted as the Lord had instructed. She went to her boss to explain everything. The man collected the money, prayed for her and her situation changed for the better.

What other things could not do, restitution did. Restitution may be all that you need to experience a positive turn around in your life.
Stay blessed and prepared for the imminent coming of the Lord.
