Where You Gonna Go? God is The Refuge!

In the reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord there is strong confidence, and His children shall always have a place of refuge.--Proverb 14:26, AMPC

Have you ever felt like a refugee?

Jesus Christ is the only place of true Refuge!

There have been times in my life that I could have been physcially homeless--but God is merciful and faithful. He sees and knows every moment of our lives, and always provides a place of refuge for His children who are truly devoted to Him!

His wisdom and understanding are infinite, and His love without end! Hallelujah!

1 God is our Refuge and Strength [mighty and impenetrable to temptation], a very present and well-proved help in trouble.--Psalm 46:1, AMPC

Then, there are many more times that I've felt "homeless" emotionally, socially (even in church!), and more.

First, feelings cannot be trusted. They are fickle; extremely changeable, depending on thoughts and circumstances.

Second, when we walk by faith, that means we trust in the LORD, Who is solid, unchanging, and forever good--perfect in all His ways!--no matter what is going on (or not).

So the LORD God is our Refuge, not just to provide our physical dwelling, although He certainly does, but for our "dwelling"--our lives--spiritually, emotionally, mentally, even socially, to a point.

He is Jehovah Shalom, the God Who is our true Peace.

1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand]. 2 I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust!--Psalm 91:1-2, AMPC

Psalm 91 goes on to elaborate on many ways the LORD covers, protects, and otherwise loves us. Hallelujah!

What every true Believer is seeking, and even what uncovenanted people are seeking, is the safety, love, and peace that only the LORD Jesus can provide.

He alone is The Refuge--in troubled times, and peaceful. Hallelujah!

How precious is Your steadfast love, O God! The children of men take refuge and put their trust under the shadow of Your wings.--Psalm 36:7, AMPC

If you need to return to Him, or make Him Savior and LORD for the first time, call out to Him, and He will answer!

Jesus the LORD, Who gave Himself on the cross that the whole world might be saved (John 3:14-17) is He is the ultimate EMT.

He is faithful, and will answer you when you call on Him sincerely!

…17 The LORD is righteous in all His ways and kind in all His deeds. 18 The LORD is near to all who call on Him, to all who call out to Him in truth. 19 He fulfills the desires of those who fear Him; He hears their cry and saves them.…--Psalm 145:17-19, AMPC

Jesus Christ is the Friend Who truly sticks closer than any other Brother!

Run to Him, and He will cover you!
