Genesis 15:13-14
[13]Then the lord said to Abram, “You can be sure that your descendants will be strangers in a foreign land, where they will be oppressed as slaves for 400 years.
[14]But I will punish the nation that enslaves them, and in the end they will come away with great wealth.
The above are the words of God to His friend in the flesh, Abraham. Those words reveals the summary time-table of events that will befall Abraham's descendants for four hundred years. Full details were kept by Him. That is why He is God. He has the final say on every issues of life. He keeps the full details of His activities to Himself. He only make known a small part to His Servants who fear Him, (Psalm 25:14).

As He did to Abraham, so does He to others who fear Him- He does not show full details of what He does. Still, He plans and execute everything to bring to pass what He want to be achieved.

Now, to the descendants of Abraham, they have a pass through awaiting them in destiny.
The Pain.
It has been designed by God that Abraham's descendants will become slaves in a strange land. This land later became the land chosen by God to fill the gap. Egypt did all within her power to oppress God's people. Hardship was added to hardship for them. It was an excruciating experience. It was designed for them in advance.

At the appointed time, deliverance came by the hand of Moses.

Promotion:
As God promised Abraham, by the time God came in to set them free, they became free indeed. The Egyptians were judged accordingly. What was the end of the Jews in the land? The Lord fulfilled His promise of wealth thus, "[35]And the people of Israel did as Moses had instructed; they asked the Egyptians for clothing and articles of silver and gold.
[36]The lord caused the Egyptians to look favorably on the Israelites, and they gave the Israelites whatever they asked for. So they stripped the Egyptians of their wealth!" Exodus 12, New Living Translation, NLT.

Has God promised you promotion? It is sure that it will come to pass. Bear the necessary pains to enter into glory. It shall be well with you in Jesus mighty name. Stay blessed and prepared for the imminent coming of the Lord.
