The Last Word!

We have temperatures here today in the mid 70’s. Our home is in Northeast Louisiana and signs of spring are a welcome sight. The weather forecast includes rain and possible thunderstorms.

It’s an entirely different story back where I was raised. The rural neighborhood of Mycenae, New York has a winter weather advisory. A snow accumulation of 2-5 inches is predicted along with ice up to 2/10 inch thick. Believe me; I don’t miss winters in Central New York State.

Winters come; winters go. While here, snow and rain make their presence known. They are a visible reminder of God’s works.

“For He says to the snow, ‘Fall to the earth,’
and the torrential rains, His mighty torrential rains,
serve as His sign to all mankind,
so that all men may know His work (Job 37:6-7 HCSB).”

Brr…

God sends “lightning and hail, snow and cloud,
powerful wind that executes His command (Psalm 148:8 HCSB).”

Man forecasts the weather; they make their predictions. Yet, God is in complete control.

“For just as rain and snow fall from heaven
and do not return there
without saturating the earth
and making it germinate and sprout,
and providing seed to sow
and food to eat,
so My word that comes from My mouth
will not return to Me empty,
but it will accomplish what I please
and will prosper in what I send it to do (Isaiah 55:10-11 HCSB).”

God has the last word!
