THE DAYS of YES SIR AND YES MAM!

by Lewis E. Thomas

THE DAYS OF YES SIR AND YES MAM!

Long gone are the good ole days when we heard children say "Yes Sir and Yes Mam"!
The days when an unsaved "suitor" seeking a date with a daughter was told to "SCRAM"!

Long gone are the days when students dared not even back-talk to a teacher in their class!
Long gone are the days of honor and respect that we adored in the past!

Gone are the days when we students sang gospel songs together on our way home!
Gone are the days when folks could discern between what's "RIGHT and WRONG"!

Gone are the days when children were taught about God, Jesus, and the "GOLDEN RULE"!
The days when parents taught their children to be kind and courteous and to never be cruel!

Long gone are the days when we recited the Lord's prayer and the "Pledge of Allegiance" in the morning before our studies began!
Long gone are the days when Church was attended on Sunday by most every family in our land!

Long gone are the days when most every business closed it's doors on Sunday and shut things down!
Long gone are the days when everyone respected our Churches and didn't deface them with graffiti or burn them down!

Long gone are the days when Police Officers were respected and held in high regard by one and all!
Long gone are the days when we all cried and wept when one of them was killed while responding to a 911 style call!

Long gone are those good ole days, and we will "NEVER" get them back!
The Holy Bible says things will grow "WORSE" and "WORSE" and that is a "FACT"!

Long gone are the days when every American stood with hand over heart when the National Anthem played!
The days when tears ran down our cheeks when the Red, White, and Blue was proudly raised!

Oh, How I miss those good ole days way back when!
Those days when America wasn't eat up with immorality, perversion, lawlessness and "SIN"!

The days of yes sir and yes mam...

2 Timothy 3:1-5 KJV
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud,
blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unholy, unthankful, Without natural affection, truce breakers, false accusers, without moral restraint, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof; from such turn away.

The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God. Psalm 9:17

Scram:
leave or go away from a place quickly.
"get out of here, you miserable wretches—scram!"
