ARE WE NEARING THE END?

Thought: Many voices out there are telling us that the “end is near” referring to the end of life on this planet as we know it. Using the mantra of Global warming, their causing fear to control the masses. If this were so, then the Bible just becomes a book full of fables. What happens to the 1,000-year reign with Christ as King. This is what God’s Word says about the times were living in right now?

I Thess. 4:16,17 “For the Lord himself will come down from Heaven with a mighty shout and with a soul-stirring cry of the archangel and the great trumpet call of God. And the believers who are dead will be the first to rise to meet the Lord. Then we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and remain with him forever. So, comfort and encourage each other with this news.”

Note: This event will be the end of the grace period and precede the seven-year tribulation. What will the world be doing prior to these events?

Math 24:4-12 “Jesus told them, “Don’t let anyone fool you. For many will come claiming to be the Messiah and will lead many astray. When you hear of war’s beginning, this does not signal my return: these must come, but the end is not yet. The nations and kingdoms of the earth will rise against each other and there will be famines and earthquakes in many places. But all this will be only the beginning of the horrors to come. Then you will be tortured and killed and hated all over the world because you are mine, and many of you shall fall back into sin and betray and hate each other. And many false prophets will appear and lead many astray. Sin will be rampant everywhere and will cool the love of many. But those enduring to the end shall be saved.”

Note: This has been taking place for hundreds of years. Christians are persecuted and killed even today in foreign lands. The animosity towards Christians in this country is increasing and encouraged by the leaders we have in power right now. Is your faith strong enough to stand against any persecution coming up?

II Tim. 3:1-5, 13, 4:3,4 “You may as well know this too, Timothy, that in the last days it’s going to be very difficult to be a Christian. For people will love only themselves and their money: they will be proud and boastful, sneering at God, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful to them, and thoroughly bad. They will be hardheaded and never give in to others; they will be constant liars and troublemakers and think nothing of immorality. They will be rough and cruel, and sneer at those who try to be good. They will betray their friends; they will be hotheaded, puffed up with pride, and prefer good times to worshiping God. They will go to church, yes, but they won’t really believer anything they hear. Don’t be taken in by people like that.”

Note: Is this not today’s world?

Note: All prophecy is being fulfilled right before our eyes and time is short. Questions we should be asking ourselves “what is our priorities?” Will we be like Lot’s wife who turned around to see the world she was leaving behind? Or, will our eyes be fixed on Jesus when we meet him in the air? The world might look like it’s falling apart but in reality, it’s all falling into place in God’s plan and timing. We should practice what a little copper penny tells us “In God we Trust.”

Prayer: Father god, help us to get our priorities in order putting you first above all worldly things or people. Your coming soon and we want to be ready when that trumpet blows, when we meet you in the clouds to be with you forever. Amen

Verse: Rev. 3:10-11 “Because you have patiently obeyed me despite persecution, therefore I will protect you from the time of Great ‘Tribulation and temptation, which will come upon the world to test everyone alive. Look, I am coming soon! Hold tightly to the little strength you have –so that no one will take away your crown.”
