Yes It's Free!

You shall give to him freely, and your heart shall not be grudging when you give to him, because for this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in all that you undertake.--Deut. 15:10, AMPC

I'm so glad the LORD gave me very generous parents, whom I saw give to many people through the decades.

Their Christian example (and they dropped out of church when I was 10, but continued to show God's love in numerous ways, to us kids and many others!), in addition teaching me to be thankful to them and others, has helped me live a life of giving.

Today, I got the pleasure, once again, of giving to others directly.  (This is not to brag on me! Keep reading, and you’ll see my point.)

First, the LORD laid on my heart to share some of the yummy dish I cooked for lunch with a dear friend. She was tickled, and thanked me.

(As I tell my husband, when he thanks me for preparing lunch, I tell him to thank the LORD, Who is the One Who provides every good thing for us. I have the ultimate model husband, and keep urging him to teach other husbands how to be even better!)

I’ll also share some of the meal I made with my dear house-bound mom tomorrow, who has herself made and shared meals with hundreds  of others through the years.

The highlight of my giving today (so far!) was that, at the gas station, I saw a gentleman of another race, and I asked him if I could give him the very nice, hardback book, along with an invitation to my church. I knew the LORD had pointed him out to me.

“Is it free?” he asked immediately.

“Yes Sir, it’s free!” I told him.

He seemed happy about it, even though he spoke only a few words of English (at the moment). I told him where the church was, and that he could check it out online. I blessed him in a line of his language which I had learned, and he smiled and received it.

I was so thrilled!

Truly, our delight is in our giving, and there is nothing like it!

It is really God giving through us; Him inspiring us to share of the abundance He's given us to bring supply and joy to others!

Know that, any time you have given to others—money, service, prayers, encouragements, comfort, food, equipment, possessions, opportunities, direction, ideas to help them; anything—the LORD was behind it, if your motive was to honor Him and help them!

Plus, He will reward you for it!

He is so awesome, and so good! He inspires us to give; teaches us to give; provides for us to give; helps us know who to give to, and when; and then rewards us for giving!

We can never outgive the true God, Elohim, Jehovah, Who created all life.

And we know that the Son of God has come, and he has given us understanding so that we can know the true God.[And now we live in fellowship with the true God because we live in fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the only true God, and he is eternal life.—I John 5:20, NLT

He will give back to us when we give—one way or another! Hallelujah! He is the good, good Father, the all-knowing One; the One Who guides and provides and always forever leads us in right paths for His name’s sake (Psalm 23)!

Most of all, He gave us the best of Heaven---He gave us Jesus Christ, His one and only Son, over 2,000 years ago, to die on the cross for our sins, and be raised again after three days, so that we could receive Him, and have a wonderful life on earth, and live in Heaven forever with Him after our bodies die!

15 In order that everyone who believes in Him [who cleaves to Him, trusts Him, and relies on Him] may not perish, but have eternal life and [actually] live forever! 16 For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life. 17 For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge (to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on) the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him.--John 3:15-17, AMPC

What a truly awesome God we serve!

Yes, Sir, it's free--Salvation through Jesus Christ, the true God, is free!

It cost Christ everything, but all we have to do is choose to receive the ultimate, most life-changing Gift of Salvation through Jesus and it's ours!

Hallelujah!

Ask Him to show you new ways to give today!
