Some Benefits of Coconut Oil

The LORD is so good!

When I was suffering from bad health years ago--partly from a junk-filled diet, and partly from strife and fear and other junk in my heart--the LORD in His merciful grace led me to pray, and ask Him to teach me how to eat much better, and to supplement my diet with truly helpful supplements.

But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.--James 1:5, NASB

Of course, I give the Word of God--Scriptures from the Bible, which I would write out and read out loud often, and otherwise meditate upon ("Meditate" just means to think about and/or say something over and over, until it becomes a part of you, which is a strong reason we should be very careful about what we see and hear and think about and do over and over!)--the bulk of the credit for my good health.

The LORD does give us wisdom when we ask Him, even if His ways are very different than the way we have always known. He led me to study healthful foods and supplements, and to visit the local health food store, where I started discovering truly beneficial supplements, that will really break down and be assimilated by the body, and not just pass through (and thus be wasted time, effort, and money).

One of those healthy supplements is coconut oil.

There are many versions, but the healthiest is certified organic (with the green and white circle), NON-gmo, unrefined virgin coconut oil. That means it's the most like God made it, just scooped out of the coconut and put into a container.

Once on the internet I found a list of 80 uses for coconut oil! Here, I will share what I use it for.

I eat (as recommended by more than one health expert) a tablespoon or so a day, along with my other NON-gmo supplements. There are numerous internal benefits you can get from ingesting coconut oil.

Externally, I use this as a mosquito repellant (Supposedly, mosquitoes can't stand the smell of coconut oil. I don't like it either, but I like it a lot better than mosquitoes!).

Also, it is excellent for moisturizing your skin, especially after bathing.

In addition, I use it for shaving, and mixed with organic brown sugar, as a natural scrub for my face and skin.

Also, it's the most excellent makeup remover, including for waterproof mascara, that I've found! It's pure, so there are no chemicals involved, like are found in commercial makeup removers.

I'm sure it can be used for many more things, but these several benefits alone can justify investing in this God-given resource, to keep yourself and your family healthier---the way God always intended your life to be; healthy!
