And I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him. 18 So you will again distinguish between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not.”--Malachi 3:16-17, Berean Study Bible

Our words are so very important--and not only can they produce life or death in our lives and others', but they are being recorded in Heaven!

…20 From the fruit of his mouth a man’s belly is filled; with the harvest from his lips he is satisfied. 21 Life and death are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit. --Proverbs 18:20-21, Berean Study Bible

I wish I'd known this much earlier, and I wish I'd ask the LORD to help me stop saying wrong things and start saying His Word, and things based on His Word, much earlier. However, praise God for the gift of repentance, where He forgives and cleanses us from all unrighteousness, when we confess our sins and work to turn from them!

…8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. --I John 1:9, Berean Study Bible

Hallelujah, what a gracious and merciful and faithful Father God we serve, Whose mercies precede His judgment!

13 For judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment. --James 2:13, Berean Study Bible

He is for us!

31 What then shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare His own Son but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also, along with Him, freely give us all things?…--Romans 8:31-32, Berean Study Bible

As I learned a few years ago--or, rather, became truly aware of--He created everything but humans with His words! (Genesis 1)

Just like Malachi 3 states, the LORD treasures our good words about Him. He is a Spirit, but He has a soul (mind, will, emotions), and He loves to hear good things about Himself (and He and Jesus and the Holy Spirit, Who are One) of course deserve us to only say good things about Him, for God alone is perfect!

Quick prayer: LORD, we love You, and thank You for teaching us Your ways! Please help us be more aware of our words every day, and know that, when we speak good things about You, it is recorded in Your Book of Remembrance. In Jesus' Name, thank You, Sir!
