Instructions For A Tripartite Relationship

by Olawale Ogunsola
10/04/2023 / Relationships

The Lord did not create mankind to be alone. Man has never been on his own. The first man, Adam, had interaction with God and other living things before Eve was made. The Lord used to visit him in the cool of the day. This was for fellowship.

This relationship was smooth and everything went well with the man. However, out of love for him, God wanted a permanent mate to be with him to eliminate any vacuum His "absence" may create.

It has been established in the first two parts of this subject that everyone needs a spiritual relationship with his Creator, himself, and others. No one can run away from this reality. A search for a spiritual relationship with God has led many people into many vanities and falsehoods. They took to worshipping idols, images, and demons thinking that they were worshipping their Creator. It is sad that such people, many times, are ready to protect their "faith" with the last drop of their blood. May the Lord deliver all those who engage in believing such falsehood in the name of Jesus Christ. They have been given to reprobate minds to do what is not right.

How can a man now relate successfully with God, himself, and others? The Holy Scriptures contain the instructions. That is why you need to be closer to the Holy Bible. Read and apply what you read to your life. The beauty of reading the Scriptures is to put it into practice for optimum benefits. You will prosper your way and have success.

Every part of the Holy Bible is profitable for a Tripartite Relationship. A careful study will convince a caring mind that it talks about at least two of the three parts if not all of them.

Let me call your attention to certain books of the Holy Bible that you can easily turn to for each part of the Tripartite Relationship.

The First.
If a man wants to know how his relationship with the Lord, his God should be, let him read the book of Psalms. Don't forget that other books are equally important. One thing about the book of Psalms is that the man who was inspired to write the majority, David, was "a man after the heart of God" and he gave a vivid description of how he related with his Creator which anyone who wants to have a meaningful dealing with Him can follow. He explained how he handled his affairs with Him and how God rewarded him. An example is
"18:21-26
[21]For I have kept the ways of the Lord;
    I have not turned from my God to follow evil.
[22]I have followed all his regulations;
    I have never abandoned his decrees.
[23]I am blameless before God;
    I have kept myself from sin.
[24Thee Lord rewarded me for doing right.
    He has seen my innocence.
[25]To the faithful, you show yourself faithful;
    to those with integrity, you show integrity.
[26]To the pure, you show yourself pure,
    but to the crooke, you show yourself shrewd." Psalms.

Can you see that a man's relationship with God will dictate how He will deal with him? The book of Psalms gives instructions on how to relate with your God.

The Second.
You are the second person you have to deal with in a Tripartite Relationship. You cannot avoid or run away from yourself. So, how you deal with yourself is very important. This has been discussed in the previous write-ups on this subject.

The Holy Scriptures also say a lot about how to deal with yourself. However, let me call your attention to a book of the Holy Bible that you can visit to learn instructions on how to deal with yourself. It is the book of Ecclesiastes, also known as The Preacher. It is a book that gives you a picture of the "vanity" of life. Reading it will prevent you from the "mad rush" of life or chasing vanities. It will remind you of the most important thing in life, only what you eat is your gain and this is a gift from God. It summarizes it all this way, "[13]That’s the whole story. Here now is my conclusion: Fear God and obey his commands, for this is everyone’s duty." Ecclesiastes 12.

The Third.
This has to do with your neighbors or other people. If you deal well with yourself, this is a standard to deal with others. Let others have good things you want for yourself. Let me call your attention to the fact that you have to deal with good and bad neighbors; friends and foes and all categories of people.

How do you do this successfully? The book of Proverbs provides the answer, "[7]Getting wisdom is the wisest thing you can do!
    And whatever else you do, develop good judgment." Proverbs 4.

Another name commonly given to the book of Proverbs is the Book Of Wisdom. It contains the wisdom you need to deal with any type of person successfully.

Note that every book of the Holy Bible is useful in dealings with the Tripartite Relationship, the books recommended here are to help you in making quick references to each aspect of your mandatory relationships.

The New Testament books present the same truth. Jesus Christ gave a practical example of how to have a good relationship with God, ourselves, and other people. Beloved of Christ, be closer to God each passing day, love, and deal kindly with yourself and others you are connected with. Stay blessed and prepared for the imminent coming of the Lord.
