Let the LORD Cleanse Your Soul From Dead Works, to Serve Him!

How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? - Hebrews 9:14, KJV

To be like Christ, we need His help to cleanse our souls (minds, wills, emotions). Programs in the earth can be of some assistance, but true help comes only from the LORD!

The world--those who do not yet know Jesus Christ as their Savior and LORD--has had a problem seeing the real Christ, because so many Christians have polluted souls. (Ask me how I know!) Like the Apostle Paul states in the Bible, we often do what we don't want (against the Word of God), and don't do what we know the LORD wants us to.

Like Dr. Doolittle's made-up character of the "pushmi-pullyu", where there were two heads on one body, and thus a constant strife and working against one another, that is the way of our souls, even after we are born again. Christ is in us, but the devil and our flesh (minds, wills, emotions) want to do their own thing, and what the flesh and devil wants is not what God wants.

What to do?

"Just get over it," I've heard some leaders say--even some from the pulpit.

Easier said than done, for most of us, at least.

We humans are born in sin, full of murk and muck; full of seeds of evil, soaking in the mud of our lives. No matter how adorable we are (and true, children are innocent to a point, but as the Bible says, must be taught what is right and wrong, and to avoid the wrong and do the right!), the sin nature is in us--until we realize our great need for the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ, the only Savior of the world, Who chose to give His life for us by dying on the cross over 2,000 years ago!

Hallelujah!

We could never rescue ourselves. Christ Jesus the Messiah is our only Hope, our Blessed Hope!

Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. - Jer 17:7, KJV

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, - 1Pe 1:3, KJV

We have to learn to lean on Him; to allow Him to wash our lives, our souls (minds, wills, emotions), with the Living Water of His Word.

It takes work. It must be deliberate. It never just happens!

We have to choose to believe that it is worth it to read and meditate (think about over and over) and live the Word; to find a Bible-believing church and go regularly; to choose to hang around people that will pray for us and sharpen us and model for us the ways of God, and encourage us to follow Him; to pray to the LORD (to talk to Him honestly; He knows every thought before we think it anyway, for the totality of our lives--and He loves us anyway! Hallelujah!).

We have to (by the help and grace of the LORD, for we can do nothing without Him!) to choose to ask the LORD to help us desire more of Him, and to put away those things in our lives that harm us and/or our loved ones (Our decisions never affect just us, but many more people than we can know!); to choose to look at the good in our lives and be thankful, for every good thing comes from God; to choose to keep trusting and following God, Who is good and only good, no matter what.

Ask me how I know!

He is faithful. He is good. He will help us follow Him!

For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed. - Isaiah 50:7, KJV

Living the true Christian life is a choice. It often has not been easy, but just like with anything, the more you practice, the easier it gets in some ways, and more pleasant; and the more strength and knowledge of God's faithfulness and goodness that you have to get you through unexpected challenges.

Then answered I them, and said unto them, The God of heaven, he will prosper us; therefore we his servants will arise and build: but ye have no portion, nor right, nor memorial, in Jerusalem. - Nehemiah 2:20, KJV

The LORD will help you, as He's been helping me and all who truly cry out to Him sincerely, to understand those things that are not from Him, that you need to get out of your life, so He can rebuild the foundation and walls of your life with beautiful things!

O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires. And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones. And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of thy children. In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee. - Isaiah 54:11-14, KJV

Yes, any trouble in your life can be overcome, by the blood of the Lamb, King Jesus, Who died for you and me, because He wanted to rescue us from the devil, hell, and this dark world, so we can know Christ Jesus as our best Friend, Savior, and LORD now, and then go to live forever in Paradise with Him in Heaven when our bodies die, and our spirits (the eternal part of us!) separate from our bodies! Hallelujah!

He is the Answer to every challenge! He (Jehovah Mekkadishkem) is the One Who cleanses and purifies us with His blood.

First, though, we must repent of all sins and choose to receive Him. It is the most powerful legal transaction in the earth; to repent of sin and renounce the works of darkness, and to receive Christ Jesus, the only Savior of the world, as LORD and Savior and best Friend Forever! Then, we are instantly adopted into the Royal Family of God, and He becomes our loving Heavenly Father! We get holy angels to help us (although God is so good, that each person is born with a guardian angel, from what I've learned, and it's partly because of God supplying a guardian angel that you've been kept alive to read this and drawn to this writing! Hallelujah! God is so good!)

If you choose to do the wisest thing in your life that you've ever done--to receive Christ Jesus as your Savior, LORD, and best Friend Forever, then say this simple prayer out loud: Dear Jesus, I choose to believe that You are the King of kings, the LORD of lords, and the only Savior of the world. I ask You to please forgive me for sinning against Your holiness. Now I know that I have wronged you, but I choose to hope in Your goodness and mercy to forgive me. I receive Your forgiveness, and thank You for it so much, Sir! Please help me to know You and follow You, and to help others know that You are the only true Way to Heaven! In Your Name, amen!

Now, the LORD is thrilled. He loves you! If you said that prayer and meant it, then He is with you forever, and will be with you always, to help you love and follow Him! Hallelujah!

Let your character [your moral essence, your inner nature] be free from the love of money “I WILL NEVER [under any circumstances] DESERT YOU [nor give you up nor leave you without support, nor will I in any degree leave you helpless], NOR WILL I FORSAKE or LET YOU DOWN or RELAX MY HOLD ON YOU [assuredly not]!” So we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently say, “THE LORD IS MY HELPER [in time of need], I WILL NOT BE AFRAID. WHAT WILL MAN DO TO ME?” - Hebrews 13:5-6, KJV

Now He, King Jesus, Who is Jehovah Mekkadishkem (and so much more) will help you to cleanse your soul, your conscience, from dead works, to serve Him, the Living God.
