You Can Know Him

by PamFord Davis

Do you know Him?

Many say that they know Jesus. Yet, if truth be revealed they merely know about Him. They’ve heard facts along the way of Bethlehem; a cross and tomb. They don’t truly know Jesus.

My boss at KELD radio station knew Elvis; he actually knew him personally. He went to high school with Elvis in Memphis and years later visited his famous friend at Graceland.

To this day, Elvis has millions (maybe billions) of fanatic followers. Those that knew him personally were a select few. God offers all the blessing of knowing Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior.

Do you know Jesus?

“I am the good shepherd, and I know My own, and My own know Me (John 10:14 NASB).”

The LORD offers eternal life.

“And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent (John 17:3 NASB).”

You can know Him.

“And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life (1 John 5:20 NASB).”

Apostle John brought a warning.

“The one who says, ‘I have come to know Him,’ and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him (1 John 2:4 NASB).”

Are we keeping His commandments?

“and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these (Mark 12:30-31 NASB).”
