Free the Word to Free the People!

Where the Spirit of the LORD is, there is freedom! I wrote this as a promo letter for a group I'm facilitating at church, to send Bibles and other materials overseas, to hungry and needy ministries. When we share the wealth of the Word, we are helping expedite the return of King Jesus!  

Here’s an EASY WAY to share the Gospel—and you don’t even have to talk to anyone!

SHARE THE WEALTH YOU’VE ALREADY GOT, like the LORD revealed to me a few years ago!

I’m not even talking about money, although every true ministry needs it to promote God’s Word around the world.

I mean, FREE the Word; SHARE THE WEALTH of Bibles, books, DVDs, CDs, tracts, magazines, Scripture cards, children’s teaching sets, etc., that you may not read or use any more (However, the LORD may lead you to sow those you DO read often, and/or even your favorites, but He will use them to bring people to Christ and closer to Him, and restore to you more than you can ever give!).

Bring your Bibles and other Christ-honoring materials—the true riches!--OUT OF THE CLOSET and INTO THE LIGHT—to BRING LIGHT TO THE NATIONS that are desperate to know God!

I cannot even imagine not knowing and having the Word of God, and I have heard in some countries, where Christianity is outlawed, that Believers have to meet in secret, and perhaps take one Scripture from one page, then pray to hear the direction of God to know where to meet with other Believers, where they they take their Scriptures and reconstruct a single page from the Word. 

(LORD, please forgive us for taking the freedom we have to read and own and share your life-giving Word for granted!)

We are so blessed in the USA! I can find Bibles at dollar stores on occasion, for a buck or so, as well as Scripture cards and more, that many overseas would treasure and share with others; much more than some of us would sometimes!

Check out www.LovePackages.org, a nonprofit started about 40 years ago, to gather unused Bibles and other materials for shipping overseas to hungry and needy ministries. You’d be surprised how few materials can be used to start churches and evangelize thousands!

You can also simply donate financially, if you don’t want to gather and send materials.

You can also contribute to www.missioncry.com, which also sends materials around the world, to help those precious ones in many countries know the LORD Jesus Christ! 

There are many others, like American Bible Society, who will make excellent use of funds to send Bibles overseas: https://www.americanbible.org/ 

Another thing you can do is to create your own materials, e.g., handwritten or printed Scripture cards, with stickers, pre-printed color, and/or your own original artwork! One way to share these is to take old photo albums and insert Scriptures instead of photos—because the best picture is The Word!
