*PART 1: REASONS WHY THERE IS ZERO OR LOW SANCTIFICATION IN THE CHURCH, ESPECIALLY AMONG LEADERSHIP*

*LESSON 1: Reason 1: JOINED TO IDOLS (WRONG WORSHIP, CULTISM, OCCULTISM, ETC)*

Hos.4:15-19 MSG
15 - "You've ruined your own life, Israel--but don't drag Judah down with you! Don't go to the sex shrine at Gilgal, don't go to that sin city Bethel, Don't go around saying "GOD bless you' and not mean it, taking God's name in vain. 16 - Israel is stubborn as a mule. How can GOD lead him like a lamb to open pasture? *17 - EPHRAIM IS ADDICTED TO IDOLS. LET HIM GO.* 18 - When the beer runs out, it's sex, sex, and more sex. Bold and sordid debauchery--how they love it! 19 - The whirlwind has them in its clutches. Their sex-worship leaves them finally impotent.

Let's see verse 17 above in some other versions below:

*EPHRAIM IS JOINED [FAST] TO IDOLS, [SO] LET HIM ALONE [TO TAKE THE CONSEQUENCES].*

*EPHRAIM IS JOINED TO IDOLS; LEAVE HIM ALONE!*

Hos.4.17 NLT
*LEAVE HER ALONE BECAUSE SHE IS MARRIED TO IDOLATRY.*

An idol is anyone or anything you love more than God. Yes, it's anyone or anything that takes the place of God in your heart.

Anyone or anything you worship or serve apart from God is an idol.

For some, their idol is mammon (money).

Jesus said in Matt.6.24 MSG:
"You can't worship two gods at once. Loving one god, you'll end up hating the other. Adoration of one feeds contempt for the other. *YOU CAN'T WORSHIP GOD AND MONEY BOTH.*

Matt.6.24 AMP
No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will stand by and be devoted to the one and despise and be against the other. *YOU CANNOT SERVE GOD AND MAMMON (DECEITFUL RICHES, MONEY, POSSESSIONS, OR WHATEVER IS TRUSTED IN).*

You see, if you see a believer carrying a literal idol in his hand, you can challenge and correct him as necessary.

But, when he carries an idol in his heart, then it's more difficult to deal with because it's not always easy to discern or detect.

Ezekiel 14:4 KJV
*Therefore speak unto them, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Every man of the house of Israel that setteth up his IDOLS IN HIS HEART, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet; I the Lord will answer him that cometh according to the multitude of his idols;*

God told Israel that the idols they set up in their own hearts is iniquity (wickedness) causing a stumbling block (hindrance) and influencing His voice (determining how and what He will speak) to them.

One of my pastors taught us back then that God speaks to us according to the configuration of our mind.

That's exactly what God says in Ezekiel 4:14: *... I the Lord will answer him that cometh according to the multitude of his idols;*

When you have an idol in your heart, then God will or may speak to you what you want to hear, not what you need to hear.

What's the idol in your heart, dear believer?

It could be your work, money, phone, laptop, television, car, house, lawful sex, clothes, shoes, jewellery, makeup, cream, hair, kitchen equipment, husband, wife, children, parent, friend, pastor, prophet, ministry, Church, and so on.

Matthew 10:37-39 KJV
*He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. [38] And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. [39] He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.*

Very importantly, our God is a jealous God who does not want to give or share His place in our hearts with anyone or anything!

Exodus 20:3-6 KJV
*Thou shalt have no other gods before me. [4] Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: [5] Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: FOR I THE LORD THY GOD AM A JEALOUS GOD, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; [6] And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.*

*TRANSFERENCE OF SPIRIT*

Hos.4.17 AMP
*EPHRAIM IS JOINED [FAST] TO IDOLS, [SO] LET HIM ALONE [TO TAKE THE CONSEQUENCES].*

In the text above, the Lord said Ephraim should be left alone to bear the consequences alone because he's joined himself fast to idols.

The remote reason why he should be left alone is that the idolatrous spirit is transferable or contagious.

You see, sooner or later, you become like the people you associate with, right or wrong, good or evil.

1Cor.15.33 AMP
*Do not be so deceived and misled! Evil companionships (communion, associations) corrupt and deprave good manners and morals and character.*

So, if a Church leader is idolatrous, then he will reproduce idolatrous people.

It's a divine law that everything reproduces after its own kind.

Genesis 1:11-12 KJV
*And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. [12] And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.*

Therefore, mango reproduces mango, apple reproduces apple, lion reproduces lion, goat reproduces goat, and so on.

Spiritually speaking, a holy person reproduces a holy person while an unholy person reproduces an unholy person.

Someone said: "You teach what you know, but you reproduce who you are."

Again, worse still, some Churches have been religious cults with dangerous doctrines and practices whereas some others have become occult Churches worshipping Satan and using his power to minister or perform!

Sometimes, God will instruct or lead you to withdraw from some people, especially fellow believers or even Church leaders regardless of how greatly anointed or gifted they are or may appear.

Some even wonder why God will ask them to leave a particular seemingly successful or wonderful Church.

1Tim.6:1-5 AMP
1 - Let all who are under the yoke as bond servants esteem their own [personal] masters worthy of honor and fullest respect, so that the name of God and the teaching [about Him] may not be brought into disrepute and blasphemed. 2 - Let those who have believing masters not be disrespectful or scornful [to them] on the grounds that they are brothers [in Christ]; rather, they should serve [them all the better] because those who benefit by their kindly service are believers and beloved. Teach and urge these duties. 3 - But if anyone teaches otherwise and does not assent to the sound and wholesome messages of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) and the teaching which is in agreement with godliness (piety toward God), 4 - He is puffed up with pride and stupefied with conceit, [although he is] woefully ignorant. He has a morbid fondness for controversy and disputes and strife about words, which result in (produce) envy and jealousy, quarrels and dissension, abuse and insults and slander, and base suspicions, 5 - And protracted wrangling and wearing discussion and perpetual friction among men who are corrupted in mind and bereft of the truth, who imagine that godliness or righteousness is a source of profit [a moneymaking business, a means of livelihood]. *FROM SUCH WITHDRAW.*

Friend, the first reason why there is zero or low sanctification in the Church, especially among leadership is that God's people are joined to idols (wrong worship, cultism, occultism, etc).

*SINNER'S CONFESSION*

If you want to become a child of God now, then say this confession:
"I choose to repent today. Also I choose to believe that Jesus died for my sins and rose up for my justification. The scripture says, "If you confess with you mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9). Therefore, I believe in Jesus with my heart and confess him as my Lord. Now, I am born- again (Amen)."

*PRAYER FOR HEALING & DELIVERANCE*

So put your hand on the part of your body that needs healing. Also on your chest for inner healing of your spirit or soul. You can also do it on behalf of your loved ones.

Now in the mighty name of Jesus, be healed of cancer, HIV/AIDS, barrenness, insanity, lameness, blindness, deafness, dumbness, fibroid, tumour, broken bone, hypertension, epilepsy, kidney failure, liver failure, weak heart, leprosy, emotional crisis, failed marriages, failed ministries, failed businesses, academic failure, broken heart, depression, wounded conscience, and all manners of sicknesses and diseases.

In the name of Jesus, I command your total deliverance from generational or family curses, spirit of death, bondages, and so on.

Be healed in Jesus' name! Be healed in Jesus' name! Be healed in Jesus' name!

*SAY THIS ALOUD TO RECEIVE THE HOLY SPIRIT*

Also Jesus said, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you and you will be my witnesses…” (Acts 1:8).

And on the day of Pentecost “All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance” (Acts 2:4).

Therefore, I receive the Holy Spirit by faith right now and I begin to speak in an unknown tongue (unlearned tongue) as He gives me the utterance.

I command every foul spirit [spirit of fear, spirit of unbelief, spirit of doubt, religious spirit, unforgiving spirit…] wanting to hinder me to stop in its evil operation in my life in Jesus’ name.

Thank you God for filling me with your Spirit in Jesus’ name (Amen).
