URGENT CALL FOR FEAR OF THE LORD

^“And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” (Matthew 10:28)

The fear of the Lord is powerful enough to drive skeptics into God’s awaiting Arms, while the lack of godly fear is like wearing a target for Satan around our necks. Without this most beneficial fear, there may be nothing at all that can awaken the lost to the Truth, while there is still time.

The fear of the Lord has never been more urgently needed as it is in the current cultural climate, and that urgency increases with each passing day, for the Day of the Lord is at hand:

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,
But fools despise wisdom and instruction.” (Proverbs 1:7)

Too many people today shrug off the concept of the fear of the Lord, as outdated teaching from the Old Testament, but that couldn’t be farther from the truth. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and knowledge because when we abide in that reverent fear, we stay more readily in humility and are afforded a more profound understanding of Scripture:

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” (Proverbs 9:10)

IF we lack fear, we may fail to notice the promptings and chastisement of God’s Spirit; working to change our minds and lead us unto to obedience, which also keeps us in His Will. And we will abide in a sinful condition without even realizing it, as in denial. Generally speaking, we fail to take God seriously when we are lacking in fear and this is not desirable, but dangerous. The fear of the Lord provides a cover of protection and the wisdom and urges us remain in humility before Him:

^“And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” (Matthew 10:28)

Furthermore, with these being the Last Days on the earth, there is an enormous uptick in evil and, therefore, we are wise to remain in proper and reverent fear of the Lord so that we will be afforded the wisdom to discern the evil from the good. As is recorded in Isaiah 5:20, this is a time of upside down rights and wrongs; bad is good and good is bad…..That’s why we are seeing so much lawlessness these days….

“Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 5:20)

Without this reverent fear, it is much more difficult to see through all the lies, hypocrisy and evil schemes of the wicked, particularly because believers tend to have difficulty seeing the bad in people and tend to trust people whom they ought not trust. For as God’s Word has instructed, we must abide in the proper fear of God in order to have this urgently needed wisdom for discernment of all that is going on in our world today, even in the church.

Furthermore, where there is lacking fear, there also tends to be a misunderstanding of the increasing evil that is sweeping the earth. This lacking understanding may prevent our comprehension of the days we are now abiding in, and we may continue trusting in certain institutions that are turning their backs on the loving concern for mankind (See Matthew 24:12) such as our government working to destroy of our food supply and lies regarding the virus and the vaccine. The powers that be are also lying to us about the state of wars going on, or even that they are going on, the soft on crime legislation of local government, and the state of our borders. And then there is the propaganda behind LGBTQ policies; forcing their agenda down our throats, the school system and medical profession embracing wokeism, which includes encouraging students to keep dangerous secrets from their parents, ,the evil plan of Planned Parenthood; calling abortion healthcare and ‘sicking’ the FBI on pro-lifers, and the ridiculous hoax that is climate change. Perhaps the most impending of these is the implementation of those ‘climate change laws’ we’ve been hearing about, that will cite the lowering of carbon emissions as their rationale (excuse), and now they are even pumping fluoride into public drinking water! (Check out the link below for video confirmation.) This is all part of the set-up for the coming Tribulation when people will be living a life of hell on earth:

^“And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine.” (Revelation 6:6)

He has given us His Word to prepare us, so why would we ignore His warnings, and His Perfect Plan to fear Him?

We need to fear HIM and resist fearing what we are seeing, by trusting in Him to keep us going until He comes:

“The LORD is on my side; I will not fear, What can man do to me?” (Psalm 118:6)

“The fear of man brings a snare, But whoever trusts in the LORD shall be safe.” (Proverbs 29:25)

“O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?” (1Corinthians 15:55)
