Christ's Return

by PamFord Davis

Beep-Beep…

No; that wasn’t the sound of the Road Runner. It was my Dad honking his car horn; ask his children or grandchildren. They’ll tell you that Frank Ford was a horn fanatic; he believed a horn should be blown and blown often.

The LORD wanted His people to blow their horns.

“And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

Make thee two trumpets of silver; of a whole piece shalt thou make them: that thou mayest use them for the calling of the assembly, and for the journeying of the camps.

And when they shall blow with them, all the assembly shall assemble themselves to thee at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

And if they blow but with one trumpet, then the princes, which are heads of the thousands of Israel, shall gather themselves unto thee.

When ye blow an alarm, then the camps that lie on the east parts shall go forward.

When ye blow an alarm the second time, then the camps that lie on the south side shall take their journey: they shall blow an alarm for their journeys.

But when the congregation is to be gathered together, ye shall blow, but ye shall not sound an alarm (Numbers 10:1-7 KJV).

Don’t be alarmed; the sound will announce Christ’s return!

”For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 KJV).”
