Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. - Phil. 4:6, NASB95

"Be anxious for nothing," the LORD tells us. He knows all things, and He is the Truth.

That's a big order, but with God, all things are possible.

After decades of suffering from various forms of fear, I'm learning more and more that anxiety is not OK; it is not from God. Every human is born into the sin nature, and fear is a big part of that.

For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. - II Tim. 1:7, NLT

Fear, I've learned is the opposite of faith in God; "faith" in reverse.

Our dear Father God (He is our Father when we have recognized we need LORD Jesus, the only true Savior of the world, to forgive us and cleanse us of our sins, and repent of them, so we can receive what His all-powerful blood did when He died on the cross, to release us from the penatly of those sins! Hallelujah!) can help us recognize, reject, and conquer fear, and enjoy this Zoe life Jesus paid for with His blood!

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly."--John 10:10, NASB95

God wants us to trust Him. He is continuously working to heal our hearts and souls, to restore us to His original Plan--when humankind had perfect trust and rest and freedom and abundance in the Garden, before they listened to the lies of the enemy! (Genesis 1)

We are confident of all this because of our great trust in God through Christ. - 2 Cor. 3:4, NLT

And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him. And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for. - I John 5:14-15, NLT

Just like anything else in our lives, it's a daily;hourly;moment-by-moment choice to overcome, to trust God (Who is good and all good, and Whose plans for us are to give us all that LORD Jesus died to give us!), to be no longer anxious, but assured that God is for us, and thus none can be against us!

What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? - Romans 8:31, NLT

Hallelujah!

Powerful ways to become more assured of God's goodness are (1) to thank Him for all the good things in your life. Make a list and say it out loud to Him! (2) Worship Him to true Christian music, or just make up songs of praise to Him. He loves it! (3) Read and speak the Scriptures; they are alive! (4) get truly committed friends who believe in God and will pray for you; (5) attend a Bible-believing church. (6) Use your gifts and talents to expand God's Kingdom, for King Jesus is returning very soon to gather all who believe in Him, and take us to eternal Heaven! Hallelujah!

For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus. - Phil. 1:6, NASB95
