Campsite Chipmunk Visitors

We love camping, and go almost year-around to our wooded retreat. Our seasonal campsite allows our camper to remain there and we can just easily pick up and go camping at a moment's notice. Little dog ears perk up and heads cock to the side as soon as our two golden retriever/collie dogs hear, "Do you want to go to the camper?"

The evenings are quiet around the campsite and you can hear distant sounds of other campers and their flickering fires at their campsites as marshmallows are toasted and s'mores created. We keep a bird feeder at our site to invite feathered visitors and usually have at least two little chipmunk neighbors who hesitantly scamper over the wall of rocks at our campsite in hopes we will have a snack for them. They're usually rewarded with a little piece of bread or a potato chip and then they happily scamper away.

Just like our chipmunks are rather fearful and hesitant, are you that way when you come to the Lord in prayer? Or are you bold when you come before the Lord's throne? The Lord wants to spend time with you in fellowship so you don't need to be fearful or hesitant as you come to the throne of grace. He's waiting for you!

Hebrews 4:16 "Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need."

Isaiah 41:10 "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

Psalm 34:7 "The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them."
