National Day of Prayer
by Irvin Rozier
5/01/2008 / Prayers

Today is the nation wide day of prayer
Take time to get on your knees somewhere
Pray to God who rules with His mighty hand
And ask that He shed His grace on our fair land

In times like these we need a solid rock
To hold our nation's anchor to the dock
The dock is Jesus who rules and reigns
Over men, kingdoms, nations and all things

The United States of America belongs to God
Not to the people, give me an amen and a nod
Many folks tend to forget that God owns it all
Let's call on His name before we stumble and fall

A time of prayer will accomplish much good
And maybe change the old neighborhood
This change will cause a rippling wave
The road to a revival may these prayers pave
