A Short Christmas Church Play for
Maximum Audience Participation
Blessed Redeemer by Richard & Esther Provencher
During the evening while KING HEROD slept, three MAGI
crossed into Bethlehem on their CAMELS.
The MAGI had followed a bright STAR for many miles. And
now it remained high above this small village. Their CAMELS
were excited as they walked across the dusty street.
Before them was a stable, bathed in brightness from
the STAR, unmoving as if waiting for something special to
take place.
A Father watched proudly as the baby's Mother caressed her
newborn baby tenderly. {song sung: ie Mary did you know?}
The CAMELS stirred anxiously. PIDGEONS saluted with their
soft sounds. COWS impatiently swung their necks. And a
DONKEY let loose with a scream of happiness.
Now ALL PARTICIPANTS and humans gathered around the baby.
They knew He was very special and that the world would
never be the same again.
And EVERYONE joined together to sing - Silent Night.
Yes, this baby's name is Jesus. As he grows up he will
also be called -- Blessed Redeemer -- Lion of Judah
Immanuel Saviour Healer -- Prince of Peace -- The Great
I Am - And King of Kings.
