(Written in 1963 before I knew Jesus, in the middle of the Cold War)
They will never learn
Their interests lie in science
But for the sole purpose of competition.
Build it bigger and better.
Make it more mechanized.
Get it greater and greater.
'Til there's no way to expand.
Make ultimates to top all ultimates.
Then what happens?
As the smoke clears,a once beautiful earth is replaced.
A charred ball remains in the heavens
As a reminder of ultimate "progress"
