YOUR PROTECTION IS GUARANTEED

We live in a desperate and wicked world. Evil is on the increase day by day. The certainty of safety from spiritual or physical attacks is low. The enemy knows that he has but a little time left. So he's all out to destroy whoever he can. It was so tragic reading the news of a pastor who was shot on a Sunday morning, in the church. He was rushed to the hospital and then he died. This is so tragic. But as Christians, we must know that our protection is guaranteed. We suffer attacks and our safety is threatened simply because we are ignorant of what God has said in His Word concerning our safety. God is committed to our safety. The moment you give your life to Christ, you become a son or daughter of God (Galatians 4:4-6). You become royalty because God is the King of kings. So you become a member of a royal family. By virtue of your royalty (being a child of God), you are entitled to protection. When you come in contact with a child of a king, president or ruler, you'll notice that they are guarded. They don't just go out unprotected. So also, when you become a child of God, by virtue of salvation, you are protected by divine hosts and forces. You won't see them because you are in the physical realm. But they are there. This kind of protection (divine protection), is greater than the physical protection. In 2Kings 6:8-23, Elisha was surrounded by an army. They were about to attack him. But he was confident and was not afraid. He knew that the protection he had, as a child and prophet of God, was far greater than the Syrian army. His servant, Gehazi, was afraid. Then he prayed to God to open Gehazi's eyes so he can see the kind of protection they had. By the time Gehazi's eyes were open, he saw angels and chariots of fire all around them. At the end, with the divine protection Elisha had, he defeated the Syrian army and made a fool out of them. You need to understand that as Christians, your security is guaranteed. Until you understand this and believe it with all that is in you, you keep suffering from attacks. A lot of Christians suffer physical and spiritual attacks simply because they are ignorant of God's provision for their security. God said "my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge..." (Hosea 4:6). You need to be conscious of the divine protection you have and you need to believe it.

In the book of Psalm, chapter 27 verse 1, the bible says "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the Stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" A Stronghold is a place people run to for protection. It's a place that cannot be easily pulled down or destroyed. That is what makes a stronghold safe. As a child of God, God is your stronghold. As long as you are in God, nothing can harm you. You are safe. For anything to get at you, it would have to pass through God because you are hidden in God, who is your stronghold. For a bullet to get into your body, it would have to get through God. And because a bullet can never enter God, it can never enter your body no matter how many bullets are shut at you. That is what happens when God is your stronghold. Psalm 3:3 says "But you, O Lord are a shield about me, my glory and the lifter of my head". A shield is a protector. With a shield, you are safe in battle. When an arrow is shut at you, you can protect your self from the arrow with a shield. When God is your shield, you are safe. You need to carry this consciousness because that is what guarantees your safety. A man, who was a Christian, was traveling from Mexico to the US on road. On the way, he stopped to give someone a lift. On the way, the man picked on the way brought out a gun and pointed a it at the Christian, telling him to surrender his car. But the Christian refused. He knew, understood and believed that God was his stronghold and shield. So he was not afraid of the gun because he knew he was divinely protected. The man with the gun threatened to shoot but the Christian refused. They got out of the car and the Christian refused to hand over the car key. The gun man got angry and shut the Christian three times. None of the bullets entered the Christians body. Instead, the Christian bent down, picked the bullets, and handed them over to the gun man. The gun man was shocked. Then the Christian took command and told the gum man to kneel down. The gun man knelt down and the Christian led the gun man to Christ.
