Begin to Work under Grace

A lot of definitions have been given to the word- grace and I am sure you must have listened to a lot of teachings on this great topic.

Sometimes ago, after deep meditation I was made to define the word- grace as "It was the process taken away man's ability and replacing it with God's ability

Dear reader, can you take your eyes back to the underlined word/ phrase above. Let me bring them out of the definition for clarity:

Was
Process
Man's ability
God's ability

I will be picking all of these one by one to drive home my message on grace.

Was: Was is the past tense of is. So what does this mean? It simply describes anything about grace in the past tense. I will shed more light on this later.

Process: If it was a process and it is in the past tense, then, it means a lot of activities took place sometimes ago to make it the finished product that we have today.

Man's ability: If lots of activities took place sometimes ago, these activities were carried out on the weak and ineffective ability of man. These activities were designed to remove these ineffectiveness and weakness.

God's Ability: It is generally believed that nature does not support vacuum. If this ineffective, inefficient thing called "Man's ability" was removed by that process described earlier on, then there must be a replacement by what is called "God's ability"

God created man and desire that man should act like He does (Genesis 1and 2). He desired fellowship with man.

But man failed God on so many occasions. Adam failed Him. Noah failed Him. Moses failed Him. David failed Him and so on.

God knew man will never have a good relationship with Him if that finished product (grace) I talked about earlier on is not there.

God knew man's ability is not enough to relate with Him and act like He does. He knew only His ability in man can bring about this perfect situation.

So the process to do this was put in place- Jesus came and the great sacrifice of the Lamb was carried out (John 3:16).

This sacrifice on the cross of Calvary replaced man's ability with God's ability in man.

This is the work of grace. It was a gift. It was settled over two thousand years ago.

How fortunate you are if you are in Christ Jesus to have God's ability in you.

You can do all things with this ABILITY (Philippians 4:13). I want you to erase from your understanding how capable is your strength to carry you and replace with how God's strength in is capable of making you do exploit.

The Lord spoke to me sometimes with this clear message "Stop working under pressure, start working under grace"

If you are still working under pressure, then you still trust your own ability.

Begin to work under grace- God's ability in you.
