A Walk in San Francisco: God, Bishop, Man, Church: Diocese of California Celebration--July 17, 1999 (a meditation and report; some notes on a public spiritual walk with observations and side comments) By Peter Menkin (written July 17, 1999) Peace was a theme of this celebration, and how aptly this message is given by the very nature of the worship. Even during the liturgy we offered to one another a time to say a peaceful word. This exercise in being a good neighbor, to be decent to another.

  14. My Thoughts Regarding the 35W Bridge Collapse by Gloria Gunderson
I've been praying this morning and God gave me some very comforting thoughts that I want to share with as many people as possible. I was praying for at least one miracle today; for at least one person to be found alive in the rubble of the 35W bridge collapse. Then, God reminded me that yesterday, He provided 60 little miracles in one vehicle. Just one minute or maybe even one second later along the road and that bus could have been back far enough on the bridge to drop into the river. God provided a miracle in the story of a woman running under the bridge and coming across to the other side by just 100 feet and hearing the bridge start to collapse behind her.
I wonder how many miracles in our lives happen each day that we don't even know about.
