THE LORD HAS FORGIVEN ME!

How great the Lord's loving mercies
How true His compassions fail not
To the humble He gives blessings
And purify him inside out
But He so much resists the proud

Refrain:
The Lord has forgiven me
Willing to hear and pardon
I trust in His faithful love
I have not been abandoned
His anger does not endure
But His forgiveness is sure

Vs2:
Oh the sure mercies of David!
The Lord has crowned my head with joy
Shame to the accuser-devil
I and my Lord have been rejoined
In holiness will I hold Him

Vs3:
With a broken heart I returned
The tears of my heart reached my Lord
Yes, a contrite spirit with plea
The groans of my soul touched His heart
And He put in me Blessed Peace
