Bless those who Curse You

Bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. (Luke 6:28)
When someone says something mean to you, how does it make you feel? Why do you think people are mean to others? What does the Bible teach us to do when someone is mean?
Jesus taught us to pray for those who don't treat us unkindly (Luke 6:28). We also should never say mean things back to them. Even though we may not feel like it, we should still be kind to them.
Macy was playing checkers with Kristen. Kristen won the game, and Macy was jealous, so she told everyone that Kristen cheated. Kristen was mad when she found out Macy lied about her. She wanted to get even. When Kristen got home she told her mom what had happened and the lie that Macy told. Instead, her mom taught her what Jesus said about praying for those who mistreat us. Kristen decided to pray for Macy. The next day at school, Macy thought Kristen would be super mad at her, but instead Kristen was kind to her. She behaved like Jesus.
