I WAS ON THE ROAD TO HELL WHEN JESUS SAVED ME

I was on the high way to hell
Running furiously, yet blindly
Until the love of Christ prevailed
And turned me around graciously

If Jesus didn't come
I would have been gone
Gone forever burning
With no hope of returning
Oh I thank You my Jesus
For calling me through Your cross!

Vs2:
I was on the broad way to hell
Loving evil, having my way
But Jesus knew I needed help
And granted me grace to obey

Vs3:
I was on the dark way to hell
Hated to be opposed by truth
I lived in lies, yet can't deny
The endless love that came from You
*
Vs4:
I was walking dead, didn't know
Bound with the chains of addiction
No atom of light in my soul
Until Christ gave me salvation
*
Vs5:
What a great change, O salvation!
I'm no more whom I used to be!
The old me that loved fornication
Is now God's temple, cleansed and freed!

Vs6:
The violent me has been changed
Jesus appeared, demons trembled
And His coming melted my chains
His meekness touched me, I'm so humbled!
