A Steep Hill to Climb

My life is like a steep hill.
I climb higher and higher each day.
The steps are molded in the ground for me.
For you see, My Jesus is always with me.

The hill is full of rocks and fallen trees.
We must climb over these.
The predators are everywhere.
But, we just don't care.

We are climbing higher and higher.
Knowing that when we reach the top, the reward is there.
So, we continue with a prayer to ascend to the higher country.

Day by day, the road gets rougher as age and eyesight start to fail.
But, Jesus is now making me sail.
Higher and higher I can see the gate now.
So, pearly is its doors.
Now, I have reached the top and my life on earth is no more.
I finally, see the ONE that took me on this journey.
And in His arms i will forever be.
