The Law Of The Overflow

INTRODUCTION

I want you to know that the kind of overflow I will be talking about in this hand book is the overflow of God’s goodness upon your life.

Whatsoever goodness means to you as far as it isn’t against God’s will and it’s not evil, there is a law that leads to it.

It’s that law that I want to show you in this hand book. It is called the law of the overflow. There are many laws in the Bible that brings God’s over flow upon an individual but I will limit this book to the message God gave me in October, 2018.

Surely when you follow the law of the overflow, goodness and mercy starts to follow you all the days of your life.  (Psalms 23:6).

The Lord spoke to me sometimes early October in the year 2018 when my Archbishop Her Grace Right Rev. Margret E. Benson Idahosa themed the month – the month of overflow. The Lord said you are one instruction away from your breakthrough, and as I began to meditate the Lord said instruction is the key to life. If you have no instructor you have no direction. Instructors are the custodians of instructions and instructions obeyed guarantees God’s overflow.

CHAPTER 1

THE LAW - THE INTENTION

 

Psalm 111:10 says

“The fear of the lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandment”.

 

To operate in the overflow, we must understand that the fear of the lord is good and it’s the beginning of  wisdom but it’s not the end of wisdom . Wisdom is good but understanding draws the oil in wisdom without which there is no benefit in wisdom.

A fascinating event recorded in the book of Ecclesiastics 9:14 -16 always takes me to the realms of wisdom.

 “There was a little city with few men in it; and a great king came against it, besieged it, and built great snares around it.

Now there was found in it a poor wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city. Yet no one remembered that same poor man.

Then I said: "Wisdom is better than strength. Nevertheless the poor man's wisdom is despised, And his words are not heard”.

The problem of the poor man in the above text is not that he was poor but that he failed to use his God given wisdom in God’s revealed method out of poverty. If God gives you the solution, also ask Him for the application of the solution else you may be celebrated in heaven but not on earth. Only God’s revealed application leads to your celebration in this world. God’s revealed application may look selfless most times but in it lies the profit in this world.

 Knowledge is information, wisdom is revelation and understanding is the application of knowledge and revelation for your advantage. Wisdom that does not make you a better person here on earth and in heaven is not complemented by understanding.

 Some people refer to understanding as knowing how things work. Psalm 111:10 says everyone who does God’s commandments have understanding.  For me this means a man of understanding is looking for the commandment of God everywhere to do it.

While some that don’t understand how things work is looking for God’s blessing everywhere, those who do are receiving the blessing everywhere by simply doing THE COMMANDMENTS. They are in the lookout for the commandments.

“Blessed is the man that feareth the lord that delighted

greatly in his commandments” Psalm 112:1.

A wise man said “I am a stranger in the earth: hide not the commandment from me” – psalm 119:19. He went on to say “I love thy commandments above gold: yea above fine gold. Psalm 119:127.

The commandment of God is the laws. Proverbs 3:1 says “My son forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments’’ His commandment are in his words (Proverb 4:4) Proverb 7:2 says “My son keep my words and lay up my commandments with thee”.

Ok, all my scriptural references above are from the Old Testament. Now let’s try some New Testament scriptural references.

‘’ Jesus himself responding to a statement said ‘’ but if thou will enter into life, keep the commandments’’. Mt 19:17. This means to me that the commandment of God is life.

In the month of October 2018 as the Lord began to speak to me, he said faith is doing the work as you are divinely instructed. In other words, as you are commanded. It takes trust to obey and God respond only to our trust in Him. Who you don’t trust you don’t obey, but who you trust you obey and do according to his commands. We prove our love and faith in God by obeying him. (John 4:21 and 15:10).

The intention of Gods law is to give us direction. You don’t know the way; you need direction. Anyway outside God instruction is the wrong way. This is why a wise man said ‘’ I am a stranger in the earth; Do not hide your commandments from me “psalm 119:19. He understood that the compass the creator had given him is the commandments.

Our compass on earth to avoid land miles are God’s commandments and instructions to us. There are general instructions and there are specific instructions. Find your instructions to avoid the land miles.

CHAPTER 2

THE INSTRUCTOR AND THE INSTRUCTION

    People have many instructors so they have many directions and end up in no particular direction. There is only one instructor for our life. He may use the voice of different individuals but the instructions are from one spirit. He may instruct you to submit to the instructions of other individual but it is the same spirit. So even if the individual instruct in a wrong direction because they disengaged from the spirit, the one being instructed will not deviate as far as he/she still have the right spirit.

We need the right spirit, the right mind, the right motive, the right reasons, the Godly spirit, the spirit of truth to follow the right instruction.

‘’Howbeit when he, the spirit of truth is come, he will guide you into all truth ; for he shall not speak  of himself; but  whatsoever he shall hear that he speak, and he will show you things to come’’. (John 16:13)

The instructor is the spirit of truth. The Holy Ghost himself .He may use different vessel at different time and periods of life but you must identify the vessel he has chosen to use to speak and instruct you per time or you miss the blessings in the instructions from the instructor.

 

CHAPTER 3

HOW TO IDENTIFY THE INSTRUCTOR IN VESSEL

1. The instructor does not speak of himself. ‘’for he shall not speak of himself ‘’ ( john 16:13)
2. The instructor hears from God so also the vessel from him. ‘’ But whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak ‘’.  The instructor is The Holy Spirit of God and the vessel (the person being used) speaks only as he hears from God. Their instruction is one and the same because it is from God not for the interest of another but for the interest of God.
3. The instructor shows you things to come. You may not understand it immediately because you have not gotten there, that is why it’s called things to come. Just obey, you may not see the blessings in it now or the gain in doing his commandment now but just obey ‘’ and he will show you things to come’’.

 

1. The instructor and his vessel glorifies God ‘’he shall glorify me (John 16:14)

 

Chapter 4

HOW TO GET THE BLESSING

When you find the vessel or vessels that the instructor uses in your life you place honor on them.

“Honor the lord (the instructor) with the substance and with the first fruits of all thine increase” (Proverbs 3:9).  Emphases are mine.

 My friend, I am showing to you the secret to overflow. The law of the overflow.

1. Place honor on the instructor through your vessels or channels the instructor uses to reach you. By vessels and channels I mean individuals. There are individuals the instructor has positioned in your life from time to time. Find them to honor them and you will experience the overflow.
2. Honor them with your substance. Your substance speaks of something of value that you have. It is something you value, but you value the channel of overflow more so you give it. You believe in the channel and you don’t what the channel closed therefore you sow your substance.
3. Honor your channel with the first fruits of all thine increase. Your first fruits speak of the first blessings, the first benefits and the first profits. If you can take an envelope and label it first fruit of my salaries, or first fruit of my so and so business, or year ----- first fruit, or first fruit of my promotion. Give it to your channels of instructions. Even you will begin to know in your spirit that your overflow has started.

 

 Some people don’t give because they think they don’t have. If only you can identify the channel of instructions and place value on them by your first fruits and increase you will surely set yourself up for overflow. The lord said to me in December 2018 “wise men give gifts but the poor give complains. It is not a wise thing to always complain to your channels of instructions. But when you honor them with your increase they will identify you challenge and pray doing all they could to know how to solve your challenge.

 The honor you place on them move them either to take your challenge to the instructor in prayers or forget your challenge when they come before God in prayers.

 They are channels and can be used to deliver a blessing to you or take a challenge from you. It is the anointing you respect that can bless you.

 

“So shall the barns be filled with plenty and they presses shall bust out with new wine”

(Proverbs 3:10).

 

This is overflow, when your barn is full with plenty and your presses. (Every area of your labor).  Shall burst out with new wine.

      I normally say proverb 3:9 when obeyed will always equal proverb: 3 10. Principles when obeyed will always produce same results.

    My friend, some attract multiples of channels while some repels every opportunity for more channels. It is the honor they placed on their channels that differentiate them.

     Some are blessed by multiple channels but others have multiple channels without blessings (overflow). Again it is the honor they placed on their channels that is the difference.

  I have not written multitude of words. I have written as instructed. Thanks you for reading the instruction from the instructor.  I am happy to have been a channel for this instruction to the church in this generation.
