SWEET VOICES IN THE WIND

I discovered an old abandoned swing set in the woodline at the edge of my property line!

It was "half buried" in leaves and had been that way for over thirty years of time!

I pulled it out of the leaves where it had gotten stuck hard to the ground!

And for it to have been half buried that long it was still in good shape and structurally sound!

The swing seats were plastic and cracked and could no longer hold a child's weight!

So, I decided to get that old swing set back into action and back into good shape!

As I built new wooden seats for it, I seemed to hear the laughter of my own children in the wind, as they played on it "back long ago!"

And I didn't want that laughter to "go away" so I worked on the swing set "very slow"!

I got the old swing set finished and totally repaired the other day!

Then, I contacted my daughter in-law and I let her know that it was ready for "PLAY"!

My adult kids and two youngest grandkids came over today to spend some time with us on CHRISTMAS DAY!

And the young grandkids were quick to jump onto that old swing set and to begin to play!

The 4-5 hours they were with us seemed to fly away and that "PRECIOUS TIME" just would not last!

As they opened their Christmas Gifts and played outside, the hands of time moved around the clock "too" fast!

We took many photos and exchanged a lot of kisses and hugs and such!

And as I watched them all drive away, I thanked God for them because, "I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!"

Just before dark I looked over at the old swing set as it sat there now "empty, cold, and alone!"

And I could "hear" my grandkid's giggles and laughter in the wind, though they had long since gone home!

Next time you're near an empty swingset, close your eyes and listen with your heart, not your ears!

"And as the wind blows you just "may" hear the laughter of children from those bygone years!"
