Where is the Truth?

Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me. -- John 14:6, AMPC

 

(The song/poem opens with whispers, faint cries of people in distress; noise, chaos, sirens, screams, and angry whispers. The cries grow louder, and louder, with an impression of vile words and lies. There are more harsh whispers. Confused mobs of people are searching, asking, seeking, their heartbeats growing louder, more desperate, then fainter, as they lose hope...)

 

Background music is a minor key, urgent, pressing, desperate….

 

Can you hear it

Can you hear it

Can you hear the people cryin’

 

Can you hear it

Can you hear it—

 

Can you hear the people dyin’

 

Can you hear it

Can you hear it

Can you hear it—

 

Can you hear the devil lyin’—

 

As the people's hearts cry out

"WHERE IS THE TRUTH?!"
