Communion--Do Try This at Home

The cup of blessing [of wine at the Lord’s Supper] upon which we ask [God’s] blessing, does it not mean [that in drinking it] we participate in and share a fellowship (a communion) in the blood of Christ (the Messiah)? The bread which we break, does it not mean [that in eating it] we participate in and share a fellowship (a communion) in the body of Christ? -- I Corinthians 10:16, AMPC

 

You make me whole

and holy

 

As I feel You leading me

to take Communion,

to celebrate Your Victory

on the cross of Calvary

 

I draw near

and sense Your arms of love around me

 

Thank You, LORD,

You’re not religious

You see the heart

in the ceremony

 

It doesn’t matter what I drink

It matters that I drink, and think

Of You

 

that I remember

I only have life in You

 

You are the Bread

You are the Wine

You are the true and living Vine

 

Holy Father, I thank You

You have rescued me

from the enemy

That was too strong for me

 

And You have rescued me

from myself

So I rejoice!

 

You are my Jubilee!

For the plans

You have for me

Are truly Jubilee! 

 

 For it is a jubilee; it shall be holy to you; you shall eat the [sufficient] increase of it out of the field.--Leviticus 25:12, AMPC
